What is DALI?
DALI is the acronym of "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface", which translates to "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface", which is an internationally open lighting control communication protocol, which specifies the digital communication control mode between electronic ballasts, control units and various sensors. DALI is a protocol dedicated to lighting control, LED solutions and lighting control systems in terms of understanding demand is increasing, DALI dimming method is more and more widely used, DALI dimming system, DALI dimming power supply is also gradually expanding market share, and Triac/phase-cut dimming driver, 0-10V dimming led driver has become the mainstream dimming method in the market.
dvantages/disadvantages of DALI dimming
DALI can dim each luminaire equipped with DALI drive, and different lighting units on the DALI bus can be flexibly grouped to achieve different scene control and management. Compared with other dimming methods, the advantages and disadvantages of DALI dimming method are as follows:
Advantages of DALI dimming:
1. Digital dimming, accurate and stable dimming;
2. DALI can communicate in both directions and can feedback the situation of lamps to the system;
3. Single lamp control, more flexible control;
4. DALI has strong anti-interference ability.
Disadvantages of DALI dimming:
1. High price of power supply;
2. Power supply debugging is more complicated;
3. Need to increase signal lines, wiring is cumbersome.
